High School Confirmation Year 1

Confirmation Year 1 classes will be offered on

Sundays 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

The High School Religious education program provides preparation for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation through a two year program designed to help students make a clear and conscious decision to commit to the teachings of the Catholic Church as well as to prepare them to receive the special graces that come from this Sacrament.

Students must successfully complete 2-years of HIgh School Confirmation Religious Education Classes in order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We plan to offer a hybrid of in-person and virtual classes via Google Classroom in 2022-23 so that we can easliy move from in-person to a virtual classroom environment in the event of another COVID infection outbreak.

All candidates are required to attend the 11:00 am Mass with their class immediately following Confirmation Class.

A copy of the candidates Baptismal Certificate and the $50 Registration Fee are required to complete registration process.

All candidates must select a Sponsor that is willing to attend orientation and monthly classes with the candidate throughtout the second year of formation. Please click on the link below for information concerning what to look for in a sponsor.

- Community Service Opportunity
  With the ongoing pandemic, it may be challenging to safely get your
  community service hours completed once again this year.
  
  Feeding the hungry is even more important this year due to effects of COVID 19 throughout the world. And 25% of all funds raised for Crop Walk stays right here in Las Vegas! The 2022 Crop Walk is a Great Opportunity for you to work toward getting your hours completed and feeding the hungry worldwide and locally!
  
  This year we hope to participate in an outdoor in-person walk. Each participant will receive 4 hours for walking as well as another hour for every $50 that you raise!
  
  We strongly recommend that you take advantage of this important community service opportunity. (The on-line registration link will be forwarded to you at a later date).
